Dr. David Parrish -
Hi, I'm David--a botanist, one of many here in Atlantis. I grew up in Vancouver and was asked to join the SGC when I was 23. I'm still not certain why they asked me to come along on this expedition--but I'm finding out that botany on an alien planet in another galaxy is pretty different from botany at home. I mean, the mechanics of the plant systems is pretty similar, but the plants on Earth generally don't crawl away while you're examining them or contain possibly deadly spores that turn the infected into mindless zombies.
Anyway, this is my journal--not really for my techincal stuff, just for my personal experiences and observations. Hopefully I won't bore you to tears
